Several Umrah Pilgrims dead and Injured in a Bus Accident in Makkah

 The Embassy of Oman in Saudi Arabia issued the following statement in response to the tragic accident that occurred on Wednesday on a bus carrying Omani pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Umrah, where two Omani citizens died, and 18 others were injured, according to the Embassy of Oman in Riyadh.


A work program is being conducted to quickly complete the procedures for the transfer of the bodies to Oman, the treatment of the injured, and the provision of necessary medical care, in coordination with the Consulate General of the Sultanate of Oman in Jeddah and the Saudi Arabian authorities concerned.

There were minor to serious injuries among the pilgrims, according to the Red Crescent. According to the news report, more than a dozen medical teams responded to the scene to provide first aid and transport those who needed further treatment to hospitals.
