The Hajj and Umrah ministry started the preparation of resuming Umrah, as zero cases of Coronavirus have been reported during the Hajj 2020. This great achievement boosts the faith of the ministry that a shorter number of pilgrims with proper sanitization and precautions can run the things in a smooth way.
In the month of Muharram or before it the Umrah will be resumed but with local pilgrims, as far as sources have confirmed. This is due to the successful conduct of Hajj 2020 with zero cases of the novel coronavirus. Also, the daily number of cases is decreasing every day in the Kingdom.
As far as, the international flights and pilgrims are concerned the ministry will start accepting international flights by end of August or in September but it will be depending upon the current situation of COVID-19 in the kingdom and around the world. Also, the numbers of international pilgrims will be shorter in numbers to stop the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
Also, the international pilgrims would not be allowed to perform Umrah as a precautionary measure to stop the spread of the virus in the kingdom.
May Allah keep all of us protected and safeguard us and our family members from Coronavirus.
