Thousands of Muslim Students have petitioned for universities like Francisco Ferrer Brussels University college to defy the court decision and so far, twelve universities across Belgium have condemned this ban and gave statements regarding their students that they can continue their education with a headscarf or not. Islamophobia is on the rise in Belgium as one of its court ruling prohibited the use of wearing Hijab for Muslims. Many Muslims along with Students started protesting for this injustice which has been done to them by Belgium authorities. Many feminist groups have led and participated in protests against the ban of wearing Hijab for Muslim students.
Meanwhile, France and many countires like the USA promoted the use of a face veil or Hijab to stop the outbreak of Coronavirus. As when a woman puts her hijab on she has to cover his head, mouth, and nose, even in Niqab she has to cover her eyes also. This hijab can protect its owner and others as wearing a mask for all can possibly stop the outbreak.
This Hijab ban will destroy the confidence of Muslim students studying in Belgium as well as their social life will also be affected. This will also prevent equal opportunities and could ostracise Muslim woman from Belgium's social life.
The council of European Muslims also intervene in this matter and said: “This declaration meant that hijab-wearing women don’t have the right to get higher education. Some will, unfortunately, give up on their dreams and some will be forced to remove the hijab to get an education.”
May Allah protect the Muslim ummah in all over the world and also protect our rights and status in this world and hereafter.
