It is confirmed by the ministry of Islaamic welfare affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that on Sunday around 90,000 mosques will be reopened after the process of sanitization. All big and small mosques will be reopened by the Government. The precautionary measures will be followed as guided by the ulemas and the Minister of Islamic Affairs.
Muslims are advised to perform ablution at homes before coming to mosques, proper handwashing and hand sanitization should be performed at home before leaving for the mosques, as well as sanitization will also be provided nearly in all mosques to keep the mosques free from infection.
Old people and children are advised to pray inside the home, while those who have chronic diseases are also advised to pray at home.
Recitation of the Quran to be recited online and on mobile phones, while only you can recite the Quran in the mosques if you have owned a private Quran.
Bringing one's private prayer mat is highly recommended by the ministry and maintaining at least a distance of 2 meters will be required.
Children below the age of 15 years are not allowed in the mosques, putting a face mask are advised to those coming to perform salah while handshaking and hugging are also prohibited.
SANITIZATION
During the period of lockdown, the government sanitized around 10 mullion mosques, 40+ million copies of the Quran are sanitized, more than 600,000 Quran cupboards and racks are sanitized, more than 200,000 water supplies and tanks have been sanitized before reopening the mosques in the kingdom.
TWO HOLY MOSQUES WILL REMAIN CLOSED
The two holy mosques at Makkah and Madina will remain closed for the general public in order to keep the containment rate low.
