'You Muslims must Die': 6-Year-Old Boy Palestinian-American stabbed to death in USA by Landlord

President Biden, in a late Sunday statement, confirmed that the woman is the boy's mother and stated that their "Palestinian Muslim family came to America seeking what we all seek — a refuge to live, learn, and pray in peace." He strongly condemned this "horrific act of hate," emphasizing that such actions have no place in America and run counter to fundamental values. Biden called for unity and the rejection of Islamophobia and all forms of bigotry and hatred.

Authorities reported that the woman managed to call 911 while defending herself against the landlord, identified as 71-year-old Joseph Czuba by the sheriff's office. The victims, found in a bedroom, had multiple stab wounds on their chest, torso, and upper extremities.

A serrated military-style knife with a seven-inch blade was recovered from the boy's abdomen during the autopsy.

Police found Czuba with a forehead laceration sitting on the ground near the residence's driveway. He received medical treatment before being charged with murder, attempted murder, and two hate crime counts.

According to Ahmed Rehab, head of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) Chicago office, the woman sent text messages from her hospital bed to the murdered boy's father, describing that Czuba had knocked on the door, attempted to choke her, and made hateful statements, saying, "'you Muslims' must die."

The attack was described by CAIR as "our worst nightmare."

The conflict between Israel and Hamas began with Israel declaring war on Hamas a week prior, following a breach of the heavily fortified border and numerous attacks carried out by Hamas militants that resulted in the deaths of over 1,400 people, the majority of whom were civilians. Subsequent airstrikes have caused significant destruction, with at least 2,670 people killed in the Gaza Strip, the majority of them being ordinary Palestinians.
