Meet Sarah Al-Ameri Woman Scientist, UAE becomes the first Islamic Nation To Launch It's Mars Misson

United Arab Emirate becomes the first Islamic & Arab nation to successfully launch its mars mission and the Project is Lead by a woman Scientist Sara Al-Ameri. The Emirates Mars Mission is a United Arab Emirates Space Agency uncrewed space exploration mission to Mars. The Hope orbiter was launched on 19 July 2020 at 21:58:14 UTC. The mission design, development, and operations are led by the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre - (Source- Wikipedia).

The Emirate Mars Mission has been launched from, The operations control room at the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, where Emirati personnel track and communicate with UAE's Mars Hope probe.
It has been now a week since the UAE’s spacecraft began its voyage to Mars and, at that time, it has traveled more than 2.47 million kilometers.

The carrier rocket lifted off at 1.58-2:00 am on July 19, and the ground control center at the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre became a hub of its activity.

A team of more than 15 (fifteen) Emiratis is stationed in the ­engineering operations room and mission operation center in Dubai, tracking the movement of and communicating with the hope spacecraft.
The hope spacecraft has been made to travel for about seven months in the space.

The National was given a tour of the site yesterday and learned how the team ensures Hope is on course for the Red Planet on its seven-month journey.

It becomes all possible because of Her Excellency Sarah Al Amiri, the science lead on Hope spacecraft spoke of her excitement and relief in seeing the rocket launch successfully into the sky. And she stated the impact on her country would be the same as that on the United States of America when its people watched the Apollo 11 Moon landing 51 years ago, also on 20 July.



She also mentioned that "Today I am really glad that the children in the Emirates will wake up on the morning of the 20th of July having an anchor project of their own, having a new reality, having new possibilities, allowing them to further contribute and to create a larger impact on the world."
