The report has been published by Al-Jazeera yesterday which said that over 700 people in Iran died after consuming alcohol to cure the coronavirus. People died after ingesting toxic methanol, thinking that it will cure the novel coronavirus. The alcohol poisoning has seen a 10-fold increase in Iran in the past years, it has the high rise in the month of February and April during 2020 as the Iranian thinks that consuming it will cure the novel pandemic virus.
Iranian Health ministry spokesperson said 5,011 people had been poisoned from methanol alcohol, adding that dome ninety people have lost eyesight or are suffering from eye disease like eye damage from this alcohol poisoning.
The health adviser for the Ministry of Health of Iran said that the people who lost their eyesight due to it may be on higher numbers - Hossein Hassanian.
Iran is worst hit by the coronavirus in the entire middle-east with more than 5,000 deaths and more than 92,000 confirmed cases.
Methanol can't be smelled or tasted in drinks. It causes delayed organ and neuro damage. Symptoms include chest pain, nausea, hyperventilation, difficulty breathing blindness and even coma.
On last Thursday, President of United States of America, Donald Trump raised possibility of injecting disinfectant into patients, causing international chaos with the manufacturers, some agencies like Detool and Lysol tweeted not to inject disinfect otherwise you may lose your life.
May Allah forgives the sins of all those who have died due to consuming this methanol alcohol, and do favorable trials to them, may Allah forgive them for consuming alcohol which is illegal in Haram and allow them to ask forgiveness of their committed sin in their graves.
