Yes, Makkah is the only city that never sleeps if you look it rationally because in Makkah there is the House of ALLAH on earth which is known as Kaaba in Islam. Worshippers and Pilgrims from all over the world visit Kaaba each and every day, while worshippers worship their almighty Lord (ALLAH) 24X7 as they have got a chance to worship their creator in front of his house on earth.
As many of you know Muslim prays five times a day, starting from Dawn to Dusk, the Dawn prayer starts with Fajr before the rising of the Sun, and the dawn prayer is known as Maghrib which is performed before the Sunsets, after that, there is one more compulsory Salah known as ISHA which was performed at night. So, the whole of the day worshippers performed Salah and pray to their lord, even after completing the compulsory prayers they want to perform additional prayers known as "Tahajjud" and "Nafils" also they love to pray "Sunnah" prayer in front of the Kaaba.
24X7 they wish to stay awake inside the premises of their creator's house in Makkah and show their gratitude towards their Lord by reciting verses of the Holy Quran and Making Tawaf (circumambulatory walking) of the Kaaba, during Hajj and Umrah.
Meanwhile, as you all know that the devastating COVID-19 is killing hundreds of thousands of people around the world, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has imposed a partial curfew, after which the city which never sleeps seems to have slept for the first time. The roads and markets are empty, no worshippers in or around the house of Allah, Not only Makkah, but some populated cities like Riyadh, Jeddah and Most importantly Madina were empty after the Curfew.
There is a great sadness in the hearts of the Muslims, as due to this deadly virus they won't be able to visit the house of their Lord and also they won't be able to visit the city of the most beloved of God, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in Madina.
May the city will start glow like before, may ALLAH end this COVID-19 soon before the start of Ramadan, so we can enjoy the most loved month in our religion, and after that, we can visit Saudi Arabia to perform annual Hajj (mentioned in five pillars of Islam), It would be only possible if this deadly virus ends before Ramadan or during Ramadan, May Allah keep all of us save from every kind of diseases.
