Yes, it is for the first time since Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) introduced us with the divine religion of Islam and now it is almost 1400 years, in these past 1400 years it was never seen or heard that there was no Prayer at Masjid a Nabawi and Masjid al-Haram, yesterday's Friday prayer was prayed with only 3-4 people of the Saudi Authorities with Imam, no worshippers were allowed to pray with them, for instance, the view of both the Mosques were empty with no worshippers, the Imam started getting emotional during the prayer as everyone is shocked and sad due to the loss of divine activities in the most sacred places like Makkah and Madina.
The Prophet Mosques were closed last night and no worshippers were allowed to even come closer to the sight of the Mosque as the Authorities are doing serious social distancing as it is the only way to slow down the outbreak of COVID-19.
Yesterday marks 20th March 2020 witnessed the most disastrous increase in numbers of death in Italy which reached up to 630 deaths in a single day. After which the world is now in serious chaos and in fear, surely the Divine is upset with us, as we have forgotten him and Allah says in the Quran "

ReplyDeleteThis is not the first time the Haram in Makkah is closed. It was closed many times (up to 40 times) before as precaution. The last notable time was in 1987 when there was an outbreak of meningitis and tens of thousands of people were infected. Closing the Haram is an absolute necessity to save people's lives. It is not a decision taken lightly but it is not that big of a deal as it has been done before.
ReplyDeleteAt the same time, we must keep in mind that we worship Allah, not the Kaabah. And Allah is everywhere. We should not place our worship on objects. Inshallah it will open soon.
Please do research before making bold, false, claims.

Where on earth is more purified than the two Holy Mosques, where is it more acceptable to pray for the stoppage of the affliction more than the two places. Have you ever came across the many Qur'anic verses like this ones "Waman-Yatawallahum-Minkum-Fa'innahu-Minhum", "Waman-Nazlamu-Mimman-Mana'a-Masaajidallahi-An-yuzkaru-Fiiha-Ismuhuu". You people mind your business. Open the mosques push the pious among us to Ask Allah for forgiveness, and stoppage of this disease and many others.
