Yes, of course, you heard it right the authorities in Saudi Arabia put a total ban on any kind of selfie photography inside the premises of Masjid Al Haram in Makkah and Masjid An Nabawi in Madina.
Various News has been circulated on social media by the Islamic Information, Turkey Daily Sabha and Jakarta Post which proved news authenticity. The news has been viral once again but some of the authentic reports say that this ban was imposed from 2017.
This is news was also confirmed by pro-Pakistani also that guards will stop people to take selfies inside these two sacred places of Islam, the mobile phones will be taken into the custody of those who allegedly take selfies inside the premises of the holy site.
The authorities of Saudi Arabia, took this step after a picture in front of Holy Kaaba of a JEW man went viral on social media, which created a havoc like situation in the entire Muslims community and Muslims started questioning the government of Saudi Arabia, that no No-Muslim is allowed to go inside the sacred holy sites of these two places than how can a JEW man reached there and took selfie then posted his selfie on social media platforms, another case was of a Turkish couple who were making promises in front of the Holy Kaaba which was also become a cause of concern. So, after many meetings with the security officers, the government of Saudi Arabia decided a total ban of Selfies.
Another reason was that when so man people stand stagnant in front of the Holy Kaaba to shoot a Selfie, then the other worshippers got disturbed and even while making tawaf some got injured due to those people, so it was great need of time to put this disease like thing (Selfie) out of Makkah and Madina.
What do you think about this step of the K.S.A government, do you think they did right by putting a ban on selfies or not? Tell us in the comment section.
