The Muadhin (or Adhan caller) or Imam (One's who lead Muslim prayer in the mosque, was stabbed in the neck on Thursday at Regent's Park Mosque, and he was admitted to nearby hospital, the suspect was in his 30's who stabbed this Muadhin in his 70's in the neck with a knife, soon the police arrested him with the help of CCTV footage, the eyewitnesses said that the suspect was attending prayer in the same mosque from last two weeks, while the victim is now safe and ready to perform his duty in the same mosque without any kind of fear and life threat.
He said I'm lucky that I survive and vowed "Nothing will stop me from praying" in an interview.
His name is Raafat Maglad, He is 70 years old and a muezzin who leads the call to prayer and often lead the prayer in the mosque, he was ruthlessly stabbed in his neck at London central mosque during noon prayer around 3:00 PM on Thursday.
Raafat, is a father of three children and lead the Muslim prayer in the London Central Mosque, was rushed to the nearby hospital and was discharged yesterday morning with his arm in a sling.
Raafat in an official interview said " I was about to close my eyes to pray and put my head down (maybe for Sujood), suddenly I felt like someone hit me with brick on my head/neck, It was terrible and there was so much of my blood, I feel lucky that it would not cut my jugular otherwise I won't be able to survive" I Had no chance for my survival.
We pray him a speedy and quick recovery, also we pray to Almighty God, may he protect and safeguard all the Muslims of this ummah around the globe and may the enemies get punishment for their evil doings in this world and hereafter.
